A Gala Dinner in support of The Legacy List at The Wallace Collection

I had the pleasure of planning a beautiful charity gala recently for the Legacy List hosted by the creative director of fashion house, La Mania, Joanna Przetakiewicz, and The Legacy List’s honorary patron – the Mayor of London, Mr. Boris Johnson.

The Legacy List is an independent charity for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, set up in 2011 to support the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The organization’s mission is to actively engage people in the transformation of the Park and of their own lives.

The charity gala dinner was held in The Great Gallery, a newly opened space at The Wallace Collection in London. Over 100 guests attended the dinner, ranging from one of the world’s greatest architects and designer of The London Aquatic Centre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, to philanthropists who actively support various artistic and cultural organisation’s, including The Legacy List to Royalty and many more.

Guests entered the room and were met with a sea of green hydrangeas, cream hydrangeas, guelder roses, green tea roses and milky way roses placed on gold mirror topped tables. It was a real feast for the eyes. A big thank you to Wild at Heart who captured the client’s vision perfectly.

Rhubarb Catering provided guests with a delicious three course meal, my favorite part was the dessert of course, with a tasting plate of miniature desserts of Champagne brûlée with wild strawberries and strawberry wafers, lemon curd tartlet with a sugar spiral and
pink Champagne jelly with summer berries and gold leaf in a shot glass. Fisher production were on hand providing seamless sound and lighting throughout.

To add a bit of a twist to the evening we had a Elektra violinist playing café del mar style music throughout. The dinner was followed by an auction hosted by the famous art auctioneer and collector Simon De Pury. The auction raised over 150,000 GBP that will be used to actively support and develop cultural, artistic and educational projects in the vicinity of the park. It was a great success charity and event wise.

To end the evening guests were transported in a London retro bus, kitted out with their very own DJ to the after party at Rififi Club, a new London haunt, cleverly positioned in the back streets of Mayfair. Rififi is the latest venture from globally renowned restaurateur Arkady Novikov. Guests danced the night away to the early hours the next day.

Jemma-Jade Events were delighted to plan such a versatile event and we thank everyone involved and to Kate Nielen for the gorgeous photos.
